Return of 70s Arena Bands

As mentioned, my first concert experience was Pink Floyd in Vancouver British Columbia Canada. Looking back to that event, in the 70s, I can't recall a more enjoyable concert.

Attending concerts like those given by "Superbands" is never *just* the music, or, theatrics... it's the magic. Often it's your crowd of friends, how you get there, what !inspires! you that day - that night.

I need to mention - I will "navel gaze" about the past - on the trips to concerts and (without names) the groups of friends or maybe the one other involved. It's all part of my reasons for playlisting the type of music that I have at live365. Progressive 70s Rock and more...

Back to the Late 70's - For you classic car buffs, Led Zeppelin in Seattle, a 2 hour drive, more or less, an international border. 3 or 4 idiots (me included) in a car made in the mid-50s, chevy, slicks, LOUD etc a very classic car and modified by professionals. During a sunny day - we were declined entrance to the "states" 'cause one numb n**z didn't have his ID.(I'll mention that mr.no i.d. can't be blamed for anything, considering the other -stuff- going on at the border, but, !!he could have warned us!!) We did manage to get there (second run at the crossing), how we did?, I'm not sure, and, we ...all made it back the next day, how we did that, is even more of a mystery. And a debate could be made about the four who returned not being the same four who left.(ha!) more later ...Looking back, at what we did and the places we went, they were likely the poorest choices we could have made. Almost..

Back to Pink Floyd- Concert - Early-Mid 70s - The Car- 65 Malibu - The Poison - Vodka -Ice - OJ(no pulp or fiction) - The Woman - One of the dearest gals I could ever call a friend. Maybe it's why and where it all began for me, my interest in concerts.

I'll be back ......................thunder storm happening here...gotta go!!
