Some may have heard of Marc Bolan, the heart and soul of 70's band T REX
The legend is that he was killed in a car accident, and was decapitated during that accident. I've heard it happened in the US. After checking and double checking sources throughout the net. From the T REX homepage to news pages. This is what might be true...
In the early morning, after leaving a club, Marc and Gloria were heading home, Gloria at the wheel (Marc had never learned how to drive, or at least, had never gotten his drivers license). The accident took place on a winding road, in Britain his home country. One turn missed and a tree hit, it was no more complicated than that.
I never did see T REX in concert, I would like to have. Although only a few of the bands tracks entertained me, many of the songs music and lyrics simply were to edgy, alternative. The four or five that I do like, are always in my top 100.
And now you know the truth............maybe.
